“Nothing new at the regulatory level, as everything is already provided for in the Code of Cultural Heritage, but at last the system of granting the use of spaces is put in place, through the precise identification of all the areas of our sites that lend themselves to the holding of activities or events compatible with the archaeological context, the publication of the relevant fees and all the conditions necessary for the approval of a project,” Osanna said.

Proposals for events will be reviewed by a committee consisting of architects, archaeologists and lawyers in order to evaluate the projects from all points of view, especially compatibility with the archaeological context and protection of the site.

The expected fees will be: 15,000 euros for theAmphitheater or the Forum, 10,000 for the Palestra Grande or the Teatro Grande, 5,000 for the Quadriporticus, the Basilica or the Suburban Baths.
Those who obtain the concession will also have to pay insurance charges, cover the costs of supervision entrusted to the staff of the Excavations and guarantee solvency with a surety bond.
