Van Gogh Alive The Experience comes to Genoa for the first time

Van Gogh Alive The Experience comes to Genoa for the first time. At the Magazzini del Cotone in the Old Port from April 14 to September 2, 2018.

For the first time in Genoa comes the multimedia show Van Gogh Alive - The Experience: from April 14 to September 2, 2018, in Module 1 of the Magazzini del Cotone, the masterpieces of Vincent van Gogh (Zundert, 1853 - Auvers-sur-Oise, 1890) come to life in a 360-degree immersive experience thanks to more than three thousand high-resolution images, projected at large dimensions through powerful multimedia technology. The goal is to draw an emotional and authentic portrait of the great Dutch painter, forerunner of much modern art.

Audiences can therefore immerse themselves in the artist’s works for an hour, with striking visual and sound suggestions, thanks to the innovative SENSORY4™ technology developed by Australian company Grande Exhibitions: 50 high-definition projectors, managed by a multichannel motion graphics system, project the paintings created in Paris, Arles, Saint-Rémy and Auvers-sur-Oise onto the screens of the Magazzini del Cotone, with music by Vivaldi, Ledbury, Tobin, Lalo, Barber, Schubert, Satie, Godard, Bach, Chabrier, Saint-Saëns, Godard, Handel and more.

Van Gogh Alive has been successful in Australia, the U.S. and Russia, and also in Italy: it has already been performed in Milan, Rome, Florence, Bologna and Verona. The show, curated by Giancarlo Bonomo, is created by Grande Exhibitions and produced by Time 4Fun srl, in collaboration with Porto Antico di Genova and under the patronage of Genoa City Council.
