A short documentary, entitled Palazzo Davanzati. The Dream of an Ancient Dwelling, which aims to tell the story of the ancient palace and lead viewers into its rooms.

Palazzo Davanzati, a 14th-century amalgamation of earlier tower houses, bears witness to the transition to a Renaissance palace in the heart of medieval Florence. An ancient history, which began with the merchant family of the Davizi, who founded it in the mid-14th century when they returned from Avignon, and has continued to the present day in the numerous changes of ownership to finally become part of the state patrimony in 1956.
