Hokusai, Dalí and Bosch on DVD and Blu-ray for The Great Art at the Movies

Starting November 14, 2019, three new titles from La Grande Arte al Cinema will be available in stores on DVD and Blu-ray™; this is a project of Koch Media in collaboration with Nexo Digital.

Hokusai from the British Museum, Salvador Dali - The Search for Immortality, and Bosch - The Garden of Dreams will thus be viewable at home.

Hokusai from the British Museum, directed by Patricia Wheatley, is the first British documentary dedicated to Katsushika Hokusai that takes viewers through the life and works of the celebrated painter. Hokusai is the Japanese artist who more than any other revolutionized the history of modern Western art; his is The Great Wave. With The Great Wave and the Hundred Views of Mount Fuji series, Hokusai inspired numerous artists, from Monet to Van Gogh and Picasso.

The Surrealism box set, on the other hand, includes two unique documentaries dedicated to two iconic figures of the art world. Salvador Dal í - The Search for Immortality is a docu-film produced by the Gala Foundation - Salvador Dalí that chronicles all aspects of one of the 20th century’s most imaginative, impetuous, unpredictable artists through his life, works, and places. Bosch - The Garden of Dreams celebrates one of the most visionary painters in art history; he is the artist who more than any other knew how to fuse the monstrous and the macabre, the fantastic and the demonic.
