Pompeii's Championnet Complex and Sailor's House open to the public for the first time

For the first time, two large buildings of Ancient Pompeii open to the public: the Championnet Complex and the Sailor's House.

Two large buildings of Ancient Pompeii that have been restored thanks to the Great Pompeii Project are opening to the public for the first time.

These are the Championnet Complex and the Sailor’s House from which excellent views can be enjoyed, as they are terraced viewing quarters.

The Championnet Complex consists of more than sixty rooms with atriums and peristyles, all decorated, while the Sailor’s House is a double-atrium building with a private bath facility.

Original objects are also on display in the rooms of the Championnet Complex.
