Public lewdness: man strips in front of Michelangelo's David

On Sunday afternoon a man got completely naked at the Accademia Gallery in Florence, in front of Michelangelo’s famous David.

He was reportedly a young Spaniard, about 30 years old, who, after undressing among the many visitors crowding the room, uttered incomprehensible phrases.

Janitors immediately tried to cover him up and called the police. The man was reported for indecent exposure and asked to leave the Accademia Gallery.

The young Spaniard had made the same gesture three years ago at the Uffizi in front of Botticelli’s Venus.
