The Ministry of Culture is relaunching its efforts to promote youth creativity,contemporary art and sustainable cultural practices through the opening of four new public notices. Stockholm Prize: Sustainable fashion, young talent and residencies in Sweden

Now in its third edition, the Stockholm Prize is promoted by the Directorate General for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Italian Cultural Institute in Stockholm, the Svenska Institutet and the Association of Swedish Fashion Brands, the prize offers two young Italian fashion designers a six-month educational and professional experience in Sweden.

The goal is to support emerging talent in the fashion industry, with a focus on sustainability. During their stay, the winners will have the opportunity to engage with the best creative realities of Northern Europe, developing projects that combine aesthetics, innovation and environmental responsibility. Photography Strategy 2025: more funds to promote the contemporary gaze

With a total investment increased to 3 million euros, the Photography Strategy 2025 call for proposals represents an important opportunity to support the entire ecosystem of Italian contemporary photography. Promoted by the General Directorate for Contemporary Creativity, the initiative aims to select proposals related to the acquisition of works, commissioning and promotion of photography, involving museums, archives, public and private institutions, as well as individual authors.

The increased budget compared to previous editions underscores the Ministry of Culture’s desire to strengthen the visual and documentary identity of our time by supporting photographers and curators working on the critical and poetic representation of reality. Premio Natura Naturans/Naturata, nature and landscape between Italy and Mexico: a transnational artistic bridge

In its second edition, the Premio Natura Naturans/Naturata is the result of an international collaboration between the Directorate General for Contemporary Creativity, the VILLÆ Institute (which manages Villa Adriana and Villa d’Este), the Italian Cultural Institute in Mexico City, and the UNAM Coordinación de Difusión Cultural through Casa del Lago.

The prize is aimed at Italian and Mexican artists and proposes a joint reflection on landscape and nature themes, in the context of a creative dialogue between different cultures and sensibilities. The initiative, which unites two symbolic places - the historic villas of Lazio and the cultural spaces of the Mexican capital - offers an opportunity to explore the human-environment relationship through installations, performances, visual and multimedia arts. New Grand Tour: art residencies for under 30s in France.

Designed for young Italian artists and creatives under the age of 30, Nuovo Grand Tour is an international art residency project that looks at the historical tradition of the Grand Tour by reinterpreting it in a contemporary key. Promoted by the Directorate General for Contemporary Creativity and implemented in collaboration with MAECI through the Italian Cultural Institute in Paris, the project is now in its third edition.

Selected participants will have an immersive experience in France, working closely with cultural institutions, research centers and art collectives. The goal is to foster encounters between young talents and professionals in the European art scene, helping to train a new generation of creatives capable of working across national borders.
