Running until Feb. 23, 2020, is Mediartrade Auction House’s Collecting Online Time Auction. The auction features collectibles of different types: ranging from jewelry to design objects, from iconic pieces from the 1950s and 1960s to vintage clothing and accessories from the 1970s and 1980s, from mirabilia and memorabilia to vintage posters.

As for jewelry, the protagonists are a “Le Cirque” brooch made by Max Boinet in about 1938 for Elsa Schiaparelli in brass, polychrome enamels, colored glass and small simulated pearls, rings, earrings and watches, including a Bulgari yellow gold snake watch-bracelet and a 1970 Hublot wristwatch in steel, white gold and diamonds.

Design objects include the chaise longue model LC4 by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand; the circa 1930 tubular metal chair by Robert Mallet-Stevens; Yngve Ekstrom’s Circle Chair circa 1960, a cult piece of Scandinavian design; and a pair of Wassily model B3 armchairs circa 1960-1970 by Marcel Breuer, exemplifying Bauhaus. Also present are a series of lampshades, including the Tomo floor lamp circa 1980 by Japanese designer Toshiyuki Kita, recipient in 2011 of the Compasso d’ oro award, the world’s oldest and most prestigious industrial design award. Also, Gottlieb pinball machines and a 1953 Seebourg Model HF100G Juke Box, star of the successful Happy Days series of the 1950s and 1960s.

Notable items include a tea service with a design by Gio Ponti from the “Ermione” series in polychrome by Manifattura Richard Ginori San Cristoforo from around 1930, a submerged glass bowl from around 1950 by Manifattura Seg uso (Seguso glassware is kept in the permanent collections of Moma in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London), and a metal and brass astrolabe from the early 20th century.

Finally, a selection of vintage posters, some created by Marcello Dudovich, among the fathers of modern Italian poster art.
