Chiara Camoni’s work, or a significant part of Con te con tutto, could find a permanent location at the end of the Art Biennale, thus continuing to live beyond the exhibition period and becoming permanently available to the public. This is the hope expressed in a press note by the president of the Venice Biennale, Pietrangelo Buttafuoco, on the occasion of today’s visit to the Italian Pavilion by Culture Minister Alessandro Giuli.
According to the Biennale, this edition’s Italian Pavilion represents an achievement “of extraordinary quality, capable of testifying to the vitality and strength of contemporary Italian artistic research.” “The works presented,” it says, “confirm the value of the work promoted by the Ministry of Culture through the General Directorate for Contemporary Creativity, capable of supporting languages, visions and artistic practices of absolute international importance.”
Finally, the Venetian institution looks at this possibility as a model to be developed in the future as well: “every year, the works of the Pavilion could find a home in museum collections, public institutions or other places in Italy capable of enhancing their permanence and fruition. A concrete way to give continuity to the works and artistic projects supported by the Ministry of Culture, contributing to the construction and preservation of the Italian contemporary heritage and to the valorization of Italian artists.”
