21Art opens new Jesolo office with an exhibition by Mario Ceroli on sea and myth

21Art inaugurates its new headquarters in Jesolo with the exhibition "Mario Ceroli, the Sea and Myth. A logbook among Homer's routes": a journey through the artist's creative universe that weaves together references to Mediterranean classicism, mythological suggestions and reflections on collective memory.

It is entrusted to Mario Ceroli, one of the most influential figures in contemporary Italian art, for the inauguration of 21Art’s new headquarters in Jesolo. The Veneto exhibition space joins the galleries already active in Treviso, Padua and Rome and anticipates the upcoming opening in Monte Carlo, marking another step in the cultural project’s growth path. For the occasion, until September 10, 2026, the exhibition Mario Ceroli, the Sea and the Myth. A logbook among Homer’s routes, curated by Cesare Biasini Selvaggi.

The exhibition offers a journey into the artist’s creative universe through a path that weaves together references to Mediterranean classicism, mythological suggestions and reflections on collective memory.

With the opening of the Jesolo branch, 21Art, a benefit company founded by Alessandro Benetton on a project by entrepreneur Davide Vanin, strengthens its presence in Veneto. A local dimension that develops in parallel with a growing international vocation, oriented to the promotion of Italian artists in the main contemporary art circuits. In the new Jesolo location, Ceroli’s plastic research transforms the gallery spaces into a large installation landscape. In fact, the exhibition aims to be a tale in images and forms, a travelogue that takes shape through a “fleet” of works capable of evoking the great narratives of the Mediterranean.

The exhibition brings together historical works such as Bagnanti (1984), Tuffatore (1990) and Senza titolo (1997), which are reinterpreted through new dialogues and juxtapositions. The works become active elements of a narrative that invites the public to engage with myth, play and imagination, opening up new perspectives on the present.

The new gallery finds space in the heart of Jesolo Lido, inside the Torre Aquileia, a building designed in 2009 by architect Carlos Ferrater. As is already the case in Treviso, here the exhibition space is placed side by side with the environments of Attico Interni, re-proposing the model of dialogue between art and design developed by the Treviso Art District.

The activity dedicated to Ceroli also continues at the Treviso venue, where until July 31, 2026 the exhibition L’ultima Utopia. Ashes and Sprouts, Chronicles from the Present, also curated by Cesare Biasini Selvaggi. The project is developed as a large site-specific installation in which artistic matter takes on the role of historical and symbolic testimony of our time.

Parallel to the opening of the Jesolo and Montecarlo venues, 21Art expands its range of action with a program of artist residencies realized in collaboration with important industrial realities, strengthening the dialogue between cultural production and the business world. The gallery will also be the protagonist of the inauguration of Ca’ del Chiostro, a new residential intervention in the historic center of Padua promoted by the joint venture between Covivio and Carron SpA. On the occasion of the opening on June 11, 2026, 21Art will curate the layout of the common spaces and some interior spaces with works by international artists. The evening will also feature Feet of Clay, an installation performance by Indian artist Vanshika Agrawal, also curated by Cesare Biasini Selvaggi. Through painting, photography, installation, video and performance, her research addresses universal themes related to the human experience and its transformations.
