Riding through time: an exhibition in the Boboli Gardens celebrates the bond between man and horse

From June 26 to October 14, 2018, the Limonaia Grande in the Boboli Gardens in Florence celebrates the ancient bond between man and horse with an exhibition.

From June 26 to October 14, 2018, the Boboli Gardens Limonaia Grande will host the exhibition"Riding Through Time. The Art of Riding from Antiquity to the Middle Ages," curated by Lorenza Camin and Fabrizio Paolucci.
The exhibition aims to acquaint the public with the strong bond that has existed between humans and horses since Prehistory.

Reproductions of four Paleolithic art artifacts discovered in Grotta Paglicci (Rignano Garganico, Foggia) will be on display; there will also be a wide variety of objects from major Italian and foreign archaeological museums dating from the 10th century B.C. to the 15th century A.D.: statues, urns, reliefs, vases, and terracottas depicting the use of the horse over the centuries.
