Marche InVita project resumes thanks to funding from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities

Thanks to the refinancing of more than two million euros from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, the Marche InVita project resumes.

Thanks to new funding amounting to more than two million euros allocated to the Marche region by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, the Marche InVita project will be able to begin again.
The project consists of enhancing the areas affected by the earthquake two years ago through widespread artistic and cultural programming intended to draw people together to kick-start a rebirth.

Events and live performance projects are planned throughout the summer of 2018 and the entire year of 2019; “entertainment helps to live better and if you go to touch deep wounds, the cure must be special and offer first of all relief to the pain,” says Gilberto Santini, director of the Marche Spettacolo Consortium.

Regional councillor for Tourism-Culture, Moreno Pieroni, called the Marche InVita project “a strategic cultural operation to build the system of valorization of the inland areas hit by the tragedy of the earthquake two years ago.” He added, “We have put a lot of focus on it, with a dense and very valid programming and we are the first region, among those affected, to have used the funds allocated by the Ministry. Last year the allocation of 1.5 million was spread over the municipalities, this year of the 2 million allocated the region will directly manage 1.5 million euros and the other 500 thousand will benefit the 87 municipalities of the crater through a call/announcement that is already open and will expire on September 14. The strong message is that we wanted to give, through live entertainment, an acceleration to the restart of the affected areas, so that they are revived in their beauty and see more and more tourist flows also attracted by the many initiatives that we have put in place and want to continue to do until 2019.”
