Minister of cultural heritage establishes lists of cultural heritage professionals

Minister of Cultural Heritage Alberto Bonisoli has established the list of cultural heritage professionals.

With the signature of the minister of cultural heritage, Alberto Bonisoli, there is now officialdom on the national lists of cultural heritage professionals. Seven lists are planned: archaeologists, archivists, librarians, demoethnoanthropologists, physical anthropologists, experts in diagnostics and applied science and technology for cultural heritage, and art historians.

The decree signed by Bonisoli, reads an official note, “consolidates the connection between training paths, skills and professions in cultural heritage and can be used as a useful tool for selection processes in the world of work. The measure, which had been awaited since 2014, was the result of a complex and articulated consultation between various parties and, among them, the General Directorate for Education and Research, the Higher Council of Cultural Heritage, the Legislative Office of Mibac, professional associations, business organizations and trade unions, the Cabinet Office of Mibac, Miur, the Ministry of Labor, the Parliamentary Commissions, the State-Regions Conference and the National University Council.”

The decree signed by Bonisoli, which has long been awaited by cultural heritage professionals, provides for a listing process not only on the basis of profession but, within the professional list itself, on the basis of skills acquired as per the standards of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).
