Ministry of Cultural Heritage hires 500 more reception assistants through employment centers


A new competition of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, to recruit five hundred non-managerial personnel units of custody, supervision and reception operator (second functional area, salary band F1, full-time and indefinite) has been published in the Official Gazette (number 15 of the special series “Competitions” of February 21). The selection procedure concerns, in detail, 21 workers for Abruzzo, 11 for Basilicata, 24 for Calabria, 71 for Campania, 39 for Emilia Romagna, 10 for Friuli-Venezia Giulia, 97 for Lazio, 18 for Liguria, 41 for Lombardy, 7 for Marche, 10 for Molise, 20 for Piedmont, 24 for Puglia, 14 for Sardinia, 49 for Tuscany, 3 for Trentino-Alto Adige, 12 for Umbria, 29 for Veneto. Thirty percent of the places put up for competition are reserved for volunteers in short term and prefixed form of the Armed Forces discharged without demerit, volunteers in permanent service, complementary officers in two-year service and officers in prefixed service who have completed their service without demerit.

A junior high school diploma is required to participate in the competition. The selection is made exclusively by the territorially competent Employment Centers, at whose location the employee is to serve according to the order of the ranking list existing at the Employment Center itself. Consequently, interested parties will not have to send any application to MiBACT: it will be the Job Centers that will initiate the procedures for the formation of the rankings. Upon the outcome of the start-up request, having received the applications submitted by the candidates registered in the lists of the Job Centers and interested in the procedure, the Job Centers, within forty-five days from the start of the procedures for the formation of the rankings, will publish them.

Once the rankings are published, the regional secretariats of MiBACT will call the candidates to undergo the eligibility tests, all according to the order of rankings and indicating days and places for the tests. The selective test will consist of an interview aimed at ascertaining the possession of good basic knowledge, the ability to deal with work problems of medium complexity and autonomously within the framework of predefined external models with plurality of solutions, with verification of basic knowledge of English, then the aptitude to acquire the professionalism of “Operator to the custody, supervision and reception.” The candidates will be judged by committees composed of a manager acting as chairman and two experts in the subjects covered by the selection.

At the end of the procedure, the candidates will be hired in accordance with the discipline provided by the national collective labor contract for the Central Functions sector personnel, in the profile of “Operator to the custody, supervision and reception”, salary band F1 of MiBACT.
